Orchard House is situated in the quiet hamlet of Embleton in the Lake District. Just two miles from Bassenthwaite Lake it is ideally located for exploring the north and western mountains and lakes. The nearby market town of Keswick situated byLake Derwentwater has much to offer such as outdoor clothing, antique shops, gift shops, tea rooms, book shops etc. There is an abundance of activities for the outdoor enthusiast.Walkers, climbers and cyclists are spoilt for choice in this spectacular area. The recently built Theatre by-the-lake offers an all year programme. Cockermouth, another market town is close by and is of course the birth place of William Wordsworth.

Orchard House is a detached Edwardian country house set within three quarters of an acre of mature gardens. The house retains many of its original features including the tiled hallway and unique galleried landing. Offering very comfortable accommodation the en-suite bedrooms are well equipped with colour TV, beverage making facilities etc. The residents lounge/breakfast room has been reburbished and has a wood burning stove and pine dresser.

Just a few minutes walk away there is an Inn and a restaurant serving delicious meals.

A full and hearty English breakfast with Cumberland Sausage is served. There is a vegetarian alternative.

Orchard House is exclusively non-smoking. Children and pets are welcome by arrangement.
