Loft Holiday Cottages, a family run business situated in Bassenthwaite
Village (a hamlet) is tucked away between the majestic Skiddaw mountain
and Bassenthwaite Lake.
Country lanes head off in many directions for quiet strolls or mountain
climbs for the more energetic. The ducks by the stream and woodland are
a delightful attraction, where benches and swings invite you to enjoy
the lovely scenery. To add to your pressure free holiday our local pub
can supply you with good food and drink within easy walking distance.
We are only a few miles from Keswick and Cockermouth with the rest of
the Lake District only a short drive away.

This popular cottage is tucked in the corner of the courtyard adjacent
to the farm. From the front door a narrow lane leads to the stream. At
the back door the friendly farm dogs and chickens often call for tit bits!
Two bedrooms - one double - one with double and single. Large bathroom with shower over bath, spacious lounge/diner with real log fire in local stone feature fireplace, TV/video. Small fitted kitchen with dishwasher. Storage heaters throughout. £1 coin meter for electricity (not heating).

A barn conversion with a wealth of exposed beams and mountain views from lounge and bedroom. Downstairs Bedroom with double and single bed. Upstairs Open plan kitchen / lounge and lovely beamed bathroom (N.B. no shower). Lovely log burner effect stove and storage heaters. Electricity and heating included in rent.
